We are proud to bring you the Inaugural issue of itravelindonesia. The young team felt that it was time to go beyond just booking your discounted hotels and Indonesian domestic flights. So here we are.

In this Animal issue, we take a close look at my favourite destination in Indonesia, the Seminyak district in Bali. For our funky jilbabbers, Islamic fashion makes waves in London’s fashion week.

For the hordes of Indonesians flying to Singapore to shop and visit the doctors, we say there is more to Singapore than just Takashimaya and Mount Elizabeth.

Indonesians are the happiest people in the world. We look at a recent Norwegian survey that tells us that Indonesians smile more than anyone else on the Planet.

It is a modest start for us. In the next year, we will bring together articles that we hope will entertain, inform and bring you back. We hope that you will be a frequent visitor to itravelindonesia. As always, send us your feedback, kudos, and brickbats to cs@itravelindonesia.com.

Happy holidays.

Sheraton Hotel Bandung

The Sheraton Bandung sits on the quieter, Northern end of Jalan Dago.
You enjoy the convenience of being close to the shopping and restaurants,
without the attendant noise.
The Sheraton Bandung offers 154 comfortable guest rooms, set around beautiful gardens and a resort pool.

As in all Starwood Hotels, you can expect the Sheraton Bandung Hotel to have the finest finishes,
and all the standard modcons. Some of the rooms on the upper floor have sweeping views of the valley behind the Hotel.
It also has a lovely Spa and a well -managed fitness centre, complete with whirlpools, steam rooms, and sauna. The Hotel also has tennis courts.

The breakfast was magnificent. We definitely recommend the poolside tables.
This is one of the few places in Bandung to have a full English High Tea.
Deservedly popular with locals and the expat community.Dining options outside the Hotel are somewhat limited. Thankfully, a three -minute taxi ride will take you to the heart of Dago.

If you are more adventurous, a short ride uphill will take you to the restaurants further North on Dago Pakar. Overall, this is one of the most stylish and comfortable places to stay in Bandung.
